Reading recommendations on the Israel-Palestine Conflict
I have tried to bring you, my readers, a diverse collection of news reports, analysis that might aid your understanding
I can safely comment that we are living in one of the rare moments in our history through the Israel-Palestine conflict that many are conflicted about taking the ‘right’ side. Friends tell me they have lost allies, colleagues, and even family members over the positions they have taken, about the choice of words used to express solidarity. You cannot deny the pain of one, to expect solidarity with the other. I have navigated my own dark moments and it is for this reason I am trying, to the best of my ability to compile a list of pieces that I have read in the last ten days that might help serve as a reference point. This is by no means a comprehensive or balanced list but I have tried my best to share work that has helped me navigate through the trauma and be objective and mindful of the suffering of others. Readers are most welcome to share in the comments section, literature, and articles that have been helpful for them. A great deal of narrative building on social media and the multiple messaging platforms is a result of the complex disinformation unleashed upon us combined with very little understanding of history and writings that have often tilted in favor of the popular narrative. So here goes, all I can request from you, my readers is empathy and this belief that each one of us, is but a fallible being
